ASB MAGAZINE: After 15 years from at its current Bondi Junction address Surfculture Bondi will relocate to 186 Bondi Road, Bondi. Talking to ASBMAG Andrew Froggatt said that Surfculture had secured a bigger, better and long-term location which is currently in the early stages of the fit-out process. Froggatt says he’s looking at opening mid-June and they’ll continue to trade at the current address right up until opening night.
The new site is a corner location with approx. 200 Sq. meters ground floor with 5 meter ceilings, in addition there’s another 80sq upstairs that will be showrooms and storage, plus 3 parking spots.
“The new store is located on Bondi Rd which will give us huge exposure to traffic heading towards the beach. We will also be located more central to our regular customers from surrounding areas. We are a destination store so have never relied on Westfield traffic so I feel our more prominent site will only increase store traffic flow,” said Andrew Froggatt.
“The retail landscape is changing in major centers yet destination stores like SC are very resilient,” Froggatt told ASMAB. “We have held onto our customer base for years. I am a strong believer in that if you make it good they will come. Stores with good acts survive,” concluded Froggatt.
