ASB MAGAZINE: Surfing NSW and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles have signed another year-long partnership that will continue to see Volkswagen remain a key supporter of the NSW governing body for surfing. The partnership will see an added presence at Surfing NSW events such as the NSW Surfmasters Titles and the VW Tradies Surfmasters, with the latter event including a Kombi Rally around Cronulla’s beaches.

“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Surfing New South Wales and look forward to bringing more exciting events and experiences to surfers around the state, and of course, to have the opportunity to interact with our customers and fans along the way. The team and I can’t wait for the next classic Kombi Rally,” said Ryan Davies, Director of Commercial Vehicles – Volkswagen Group Australia.

Surfing NSW CEO Luke Madden is elated to see the partnership between the two organisations continue to grow for the third year in a row.

“Volkswagen and Surfing NSW have developed such a fruitful relationship over the previous three years and we look forward to extending that in 2021. The vehicles that we have been using have supported each and every event and program we’ve run in that time and we’re excited to be able to complement their presence at events with Kombi Rally activations.”

Surfing NSW will be equipped with three new Volkswagen Amaroks, a Multivan, a Transporter and a Crafter van as part of the deal. The fleet of vehicles will be used to facilitate all Surfing NSW events, programs and education days over the calendar year.

The next NSW based Kombi Rally will take place at the VW Tradies Surfmasters which is scheduled to take place in October 2021.
