We now have an exciting opportunity for a Head Buyer to join our dynamic team at the Ozmosis headquarters located in Port Melbourne. Reporting to the Ozmosis General Manager, we are looking for a talented individual with a balance of creativity and commerciality to oversee our buying team to achieve sales, margin and inventory targets.
The key focus of this senior role will be as follows:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the buying team to interpret the business strategy and retail financial budget and KPI’s.
- Develop the product strategy in order to maximise sales and margin and achieve stock management KPI’s.
- Execute product decisions against brand performance, assortment, markdowns, promotion, and performance across all categories.
Excellent analytical ability and the knowledge and experience to make important commercial decisions to maximise sales potential are key requirements of this role. It is crucial that you understand our market and have an experienced eye for surf and street fashion trends. Ideally you have 5+ years’ experience in a similar role along with advanced excel skills. You must have excellent leadership skills and be confident in supplier negotiation. Planning experience will be considered a positive!
