ASB MAGAZINE: Since relaunching ASBMAG.com 18 months ago there’s been over 1200 posts published and thanks to the power of analytics we are able to rank the most ‘viewed’ news stories of the year.  Surprisingly, despite 2019 being  a transformational year for the surf industry, our top five news stories, as determined by the total number of ‘views’ excluded the headlines  dominated by Rip Curl’s sale to Kathmandu, Hurley’s acquisition by Bluestar Alliance, Volcom’s sale to Heritage Brands and more. Despite these seismic shifts in our industry, from the 480 news items posted in 2019, the most ‘viewed’ stories of the year were brand or campaign focused.  Below, we’ve compiled a snapshot of the TOP FIVE news stories for 2019.
