About the role…
The Ethical Sourcing & Compliance Manager is a unique role and a great opportunity to support our core values. The position is permanent, full-time and is located at our global Torquay office. The position ensures the legal and ethical integrity of the Rip Curl group through policy enforcement and program planning. To achieve this you will work with our regions to maintain supplier records, validating factories and input suppliers, ensuring corrective action plan management and closure is in place where applicable. You will implement and update our Social, Environmental and Chemical compliance policies, communicating these across your stakeholders effectively; aiming to ensure our submission of the Ethical Fashion Report (Baptist World Aid) is held or improved. You will be pro-active around risk management, keeping up to date with global factory and product compliance, monitoring both the NGO and Environmental/sustainability space.
What we are searching for…
We are searching for a crew member who has demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining ethical sourcing strategies, reporting and auditing processes. You will have experience with Global product compliance and have a strong interest in sustainability initiatives and practices. The role involves overseas travel as required. Mandarin speaking skills are beneficial but not a requirement. We are looking for a strong communicator who is pro-active, patient and approachable for all stakeholders.
