ASB MAGAZINE: Melbourne based, and Auckland born Accent Group Limited have launched a philanthropic division ‘Stamp your Feet’ an Accent Group Limited charity foundation created to support its team members and the communities in which they operate. Through the ‘Stamp Your Feet’ Foundation, Accent Group will partner with key charities and community groups to build awareness of social issues and make a positive impact. With the growing need for Mental Health support, Accent Group will partner with Headspace in Australia and the company has pledged over $100k p.a and a further $50k p.a with Youthline in New Zealand.

These are not for profit organisations focused on raising awareness and supporting young people who suffer from mental health. The mental health of the Accent community, its team members, customers, and all individuals the company interact with is of upmost importance. Through ‘Stamp Your Feet’ , the company will contribute financially to mental health, as well as integrating initiatives throughout its business, such as training for key team members.

Accent Group will commit $450,000 over a three-year period to mental health charities in both Australia and New Zealand.  Stamp Your Feet allows its employees, customers, and the extended community of Accent Group to support charities that connect with diverse communities, hardships and interests, and align with current societal challenges.  Accent Group CEO Daniel Agostinelli told Ragtraderthe initiative is just the start for the business.

“Australia-wide, we are experiencing unprecedented levels of mental health issues due to pressures of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This contribution will support Headspace and Youthline to build a ‘suicide-safe’ community, providing crisis support for many daily.

“With over 6,500 people employed at Accent Group through our head office and store network across Australia and New Zealand, we aim to raise funds, positively influence attitudes, and support multiple charities through the Stamp Your Feet initiative.

“This is just the beginning of what we believe can have a significant impact,” he said.

Recognising the impacts of COVID and the strain the pandemic has placed on people’s mental health, Accent has chosen to support both Headspace and Youthline, who in turn support young people and their families to become mentally healthy and engaged in their communities.

Customers, suppliers, and partners are encouraged to donate to Stamp Your Feet at any participating Accent Group store or online throughout October.
