Tim Baker is a former editor of Tracks and Surfing Life magazines and current Editor at Slow magazine. Described by peers as possibly the most brilliant and incisive surf writer working today, Tim is the author of four books, including Bustin' Down The Door, High Surf and The Rise and Fall and Rise of Mark Occhilupo. Surf or Life, as well as Australia’s Century of Surf (Random House, 2013) celebrates 100 years of surfing history. ‘Surfari’ (Random House, 2011) He has twice received the Surfing Hall of Fame Media/Culture Award and been nominated for the CUB Australian Sports Writing Award. Tim lives in Currumbin on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
