History
Wax Off started out in 2009 when Xavier convinced a few buddies, all connected to surfing and making art, that it would be a good idea to pool their talents and hold a group show at a local gallery. The reaction was fantastic, attracting art lovers and surfers alike and inspired a fairly regular gathering at various venues, locally and abroad, adding another chapter to surf art’s rich history. Wax Off has always been proud to operate as a non-profit initiative.

The main monkeys behind the Wax Off collective are (Curators and artists) Xavier Davies and Tom Milledge, but none of this has been, or will be possible without the help of our artists mates and families.
The Kickstarter
This time around we are turning up the volume on Wax Off with an ambitious attempt to bring together our regions surf inspired creatives – with original artwork produced as part of a surf style zine – In fact being volume number 2 after our self funded 2012 comic.
