URBNSURF Melbourne, Australia’s first surf park, is currently under construction and is set to open in Q1,
2019. We are now seeking a motivated Surf School Manager to become a core member of the team
responsible for managing the Surf Coaches at URBNSURF Melbourne.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Operations Manager to develop and deliver Surf School
programs that focus on building and improving guests’ surfing abilities, for first-timers through to
advanced/expert surfers. The Surf School Manager role will have a probationary period of 6 months.
In the role of Surf School Manager, you will be given the opportunity to assemble a team that is safety-
conscious and focused on delivering incredible and memorable surfing experiences to guests!
Candidates will ideally possess appropriate tertiary qualifications, coupled with a minimum of 3 years’
experience in managing Surf School operations. The candidate must hold a current Surf Instructor Level 1
qualification and be able to demonstrate relevant prior experience in managing teams and delivering
exceptional customer service and surfing experience outcomes.
We are looking for an individual who is focused on safety, guest satisfaction, is adept at rostering and in
delivering exceptional lessons (customised, as required), and creating new surfing experiences.
Professionalism, and taking personal responsibility for actions and outcomes, is equally as important.

A renumeration package will be structured commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills, experience
and alignment to the role.
