ASB MAGAZINE: URBNSURF  announced that it has secured a key partnership with Rip Curl who becomes the major surf brand and official wetsuit partner. URBNSURF also revealed a raft of other partnerships today including Surf Hardware International (SHI)  who will provide  Softech Surfboards and Hydro Bodyboards for its learn-to-surf and hire fleet.  FCS Fins will become the exclusive fin partner at Australia’s first wave park located at Tullamarine, Melbourne, Victoria.

URBNSURF’s  partnership with The Leisure Collective (TLC) Group will see all boards fitted with Creatures of Leisure leashes and traction, waxed up using Sex Wax, and repaired using Sun Cure ding repair kits. Staff, including lifeguards and surf coaches will be protected from the elements thanks to OTIS Eyewear and Surf Ears ear plugs.

Commenting on the major partnership with Rip Curl,  Neil Ridgway, Chief Marketing Officer at Rip Curl said;

“We’re stoked to have our gear on surfers the world over, and particularly to be the Official URBNSURF wetsuit partner,” said Neil Ridgway.

“Whether it’s the park or the ocean, wherever you find good waves we want to be there. We look forward to getting our pro team there in the new year – from everything we have seen and our crew have experienced  – it looks great fun and a solid testing and training ground for our team.”

Rip Curl will exclusively supply URBNSURF with premium wetsuits and rash vests for its retail and surf rental operations, to ensure guests and staff alike are warm, flexible and performing at their peak, year-round. Rip Curl will also supply boardshorts, swimwear and its innovative Rip Curl GPS 2 surf watches to the surf park.

“Our aim at URBNSURF is to provide safe, convenient and accessible opportunities to surf more, and to surf better. With the support of leading, like-minded Australian surf brands – including Rip Curl – we’re able to deliver world-class surfing experiences to our guests,” said Andrew Ross, URBNSURF’s Founder.
