ASB MAGAZINE: Rip Curl is offering a new Wetsuit Recycling Program, and they’re looking for your old rubber to make it happen. A new program being trialled at the Rip Curl Torquay Store, the rubber customers bring in will either be crumbed down and given another life as bitumen, or will be upcycled through Surfing Victoria’s @victorian_indigenous_surfing program or recycled into another life by Tyre Crumb Australia.

This will reduce the amount of waste going into landfill and also help out those who cannot afford wetsuits!

The trial program will run until the end of April, and if success will be extended into the future and potentially carried out in Rip Curl stores around the world.

If you’re not in the Torquay region, and you still want to Recycle or Upcycle your old rubber, simply post a package to the Rip Curl Torquay Store with a note inside saying if you want to Recycle or Upcycle.
