ASB MAGAZINE: Mona Vale based Onboard Industries will distribute the Town and Country (Hawaii) line of surfboards with a newly inked distribution deal with T&C Aloha.  Onboard Industries currently manufactures boards in Australia and Bali including Simon Anderson, Channel Islands, Hayden Lewis, Chris Christensen and Catch Surf, warehousing and supporting like-minded surf brands with the same culture and philosophy that Onboard Industries has thrived on for years.  After debuting their apparel and surfboard line in 2018, T&C Aloha joins Onboard Industries stable of ‘like-minded’ brands. According to Onboard Industries, Alistair ‘Zoc’ Zorica, Onboard will manufacture and distribute T&C Surfboards in Australia, NZ and Indonesia, with stock heading in store this March.

‘We have a mix of shapers under the T&C label including, Ian Byrne and Gunther Rohn and the main lead shaper, Glenn Pang from Hawaii,” said Zorica.

T&C boards are a mix of 80’s thrusters and twin fins, with a strong range of modern contemporary boards for surf from 1ft to 20ft.

“The boards are nothing but amazing,” enthused Zorica. “Also, be sure to check out T&C’s iconic apparel line that is ticking all the boxes.”

“With new energy and passion, the future is looking very salty for T&C,” concluded Zorica.

After a few incarnations and apparel licences between Australia and New Zealand over the last decade, T&C Aloha debuted a newly inspired apparel line in 2018 after securing the license agreement with T&C Surf Hawaii. The iconic Hawaiian surf and apparel label T&C Surf was founded in 1971 by Craig Sugihara. Former Billabong Exec Harry Truscott together with former Rhythm founder Jamahl Grey inked the deal with support from Steve Fontes, Ian Byrne and Mitch Avakian (Nevada Projects). In July 2018, T&C Australia closed it’s Byron Bay surfboard factory after more than 30 years production along with McCoy and more recently MR and Maddog surfboard manufacturing.
