Primary Purpose of Position:
The primary purpose of this short-term contract position is to attract & keep thousands of new customers to our surf school network around Australia. Post COVID 19 its extremely critical that we support our network to BAU as quickly as possible.Through a strong understanding of the target customer, the products & surf schools you will create & execute a marketing & communications plan.

Key Responsibilities:
CUSTOMER SEGMENTATION
- Set your target consumers prioritised
- Build understanding of participants needs & gate keepers (through intercepts & interviews)
- Identify & understand their media habits
- Identity & understand their decision-making process
PRODUCTS & PROGRAMS
- Define USP of each program offered by SA
- Outline key benefits for consumer & participant
- Know why they buy
- Understand all barries & objections
- Identify competition
- Meet with Surf Schools to understand delivery, recommendations, and benefits
- Make any changes/additions to products to attract new surfers
MARKETING PLAN
- Create & execute total plan including critical timeline, KPIs, key tactics
- Build all required branding assets
- Build all marketing materials
- Manage all on channel marketing
- Consider co-marketing with Surf School partners
- In collaboration with partnerships marketing through their channels
- Set up all tracking & reporting system. Dashboard
COMMUNICATIONS PLAN
- Create & execute total plan including critical timeline, KPIs, key tactics
- Secure Media partners
- Create all required content – photos, moving images, story ideas
- Set up all tracking & reporting system. Dashboard
DELIVERY OF TRAINING & COMMUNICATION
- Conduct marketing, digital & communications training for the State associations and Surf Schools via both online applications and face to face
- Develop the networks marketing impact
- Monthly updates on programs performance
DATA MANAGEMENT & REPORTING
- Ensure information is collected accurately and effectively to deliver appropriate reporting both internally and externally
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Handling enquires via telephone and email
- Identifying and resolving issues and complaints by Surf Schools
- Maximising surf school & customer satisfaction
ADHOC
- Any additional adhoc tasks relating to the services and activities carried out by Surfing In Australia
HEALTH & SAFETY
- Adhere to workplace health and safety laws, policies and procedures.
- Report any hazards, incidents, injuries or ‘near misses’ to your manager or Safety Team Member.
- Participate in consultation and training on safety issues in your work area as required.
