Founded in 2012, The Mad Hueys are an emerging brand with a growing market share position on our ActionWatch Oz Pty Ltd panel. The Mad Hueys are looking for a Sales Manager for Australia & New Zealand. As part of the Hueys senior seafaring team, you’ll be involved in key strategic decision making and set the distribution strategy for Australia & NZ.  As part of the Hueys senior seafaring team, you’ll be involved in key strategic decision making (yeah, we’re party at the front and business at the back these days) and setting of annual budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Distribution Strategy for Australia & NZ
  • Set and manage wholesales sales budgets for Australia & NZ
  • Engineer and implement distribution strategy
  • Negotiate all Trading Terms
  • Build and manage all business partnerships with all Major Accounts
  • Review and Manage all Rep relationships
  • Open up NZ distribution
  • Work in partnership with Operations & Logistics to exceed all delivery expectations
  • Grow re-order business
  • Add value to our business partners

This band of misfits unofficially kicked off in 2012 when the boys made 20 shirts and hats for themselves and close friends as part of the Gold Coast Flatty Classic. Being likeable lads, within a few weeks the phones were ringing and inboxes were full – it seemed plenty of other like-minded people wanted to be a Mad Huey. It’s this connection with other Hueys, sharing a wave, boat, tin and/or shoey with fellow Hueys, that remains the backbone of this business.

 

From humble beginnings, the brand has grown to have a strong global presence and continues to expand into new markets. The Hueys has not grown because of cutting-edge fishing equipment or ground-breaking techniques, but rather the ability to enjoy ourselves no matter the situation. It’s not about being the best, it’s about having the best time!
