ASB MAGAZINE: Gold Coast World Surfing Legend Wayne “Rabbit” Bartholomew is running for Burleigh in the upcoming Queensland State Election. To support Rabbit’s campaign, get yourself along to his first official fundraiser at the home of the Burleigh Boardriders, Club Burleigh, 1640 Gold Coast Hwy, Burleigh Heads this Saturday, 5th September at 11:30am.

 

Palmy’s loveable comedian Steve Allison will be a special guest and Rabbit will outline his plan for a better Burleigh.

 

Awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in 2009 for his considerable contributions to sport, environment and social causes, Rabbit attended school at Miami High and won multiple world titles, managed the World Surfing Headquarters ASP as President and CEO all from Burleigh.

 

“The Gold Coast has given so much to me and now is the time to give back to my community. I humbly ask for your support so I can be an effective voice in government to deliver the best outcomes for Burleigh and the Gold Coast.”
