About the role…

We are searching for a Finance Manager for a 12 month maternity leave contract to ideally commence in September. The role, based in Torquay with some flexibility in working arrangements will undertake and manage a range of business financial support functions for Rip Curl Australia, New Zealand and Ozmosis. The main accountabilities of the role include management accounting, retail reporting, team management and cash management. The role’s day to day responsibilities include;

  • Responsibility for the Australian, New Zealand and Ozmosis accounting functions (including monthly financial reporting and analysis, statutory compliance, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering).
  • Provision of timely and relevant reporting to key stakeholders and external bodies and delivering improvements in reporting to the business
  • Management, mentoring and development of direct reports

This role will focus on statutory compliance, driving improvements in efficiencies, accuracy, and automation, identifying opportunities for cost savings and profit growth. You will explore the potential for group synergies that can be achieved across our Australian Rip Curl and multi brand networks.

 

About you…

You will be CA/CPA qualified and will enjoy managing a team and thrive on supporting them to develop their experience. Having relevant Financial Accounting experience, you will be able to confidently deliver end-to-end financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and conduct detailed cost analysis. Preferably you will have worked within a retail environment to really hit the ground running. You will demonstrate solid excel skills and have worked with various General ledger/ERP systems.
