In this behind the scenes clip from HYPEBEAST SPACES we visit  Alfred’s Apartment, a menswear shop, barber and diner all rolled into one. Founded in 2012, by brothers Kris and Danny Neilsen, Alfred’s is a unique retail experience in Mermaid Beach (Gold Coast) that provides  a curated selection of quality garments and accessories from both home and abroad made for the city life and outdoors.
The evolving brand mix currently includes Brixton, MisFit, Former, Huf, Banks as well as limited releases from the original Brothers Neilsen range amongst others.
Building off the success of the original retail space, Alfred’s Apartment expanded its operations by opening up a Barber shop, before venturing into the culinary side of things with a diner which now offers everything from Acai Bowls, to Pulled Bork Burritos and a specialty blend of premium coffee. By staying true to its mantra of “ocean, adventure culture & class,”  Alfred’s promises to be a mainstay in the community for years to come.
The little retail stores and eatery’s popping up at Mermaid Beach have become a meeting point for locals and passers by and ASB recently dropped in on our old patch to find out what’s ticking. Thanks to Kris for his time, the store was pumping the day we stopped by. Well worth a visit on your next trip to the Gold Coast.
