ASB MAGAZINE: On Dec 1st, the first day of the ‘summer of love’ in 1969 Bob and Wills Cooper opened Coopers Surf down on the old Jetty Strip in Coffs Harbour NSW (Aust.) From then Coopers Surf has spanned 50 years to become an icon on the Australian surf retail landscape with five stores and two Urban Life by Coopers stores.
Today, Coopers Surf is still owned by two great Coffs Harbour families. Mark Eymes winds back the clock in this video catching up with Bob and Wills Cooper together with the original shop grommet and current owner Andrew Lindsay who continues the Coopers legacy 50 years later.
