ASB MAGAZINE: Quiksilver recently released their iconic Warpaint Collection in ‘select’ stores and online.   Attitude. Energy. The fiery boldness of youth. These are the elements that spawned Quiksilver’s first Warpaint design in 1987. Inspired by the inimitable lifestyle of the boardriding tribe, Warpaint instantly became iconic in the core scene and evolved into a long-term Quiksilver art theme. According to Quiksilver Brand Manager Garry Wall, the 50 year milestone is about celebrating the past, present and future and finding the right balance at the right moments.

“There is no big internal back-slapping party planned. Instead, we want to celebrate by thanking our customers and consumers in an intimate way over a 12-month period,” Garry Wall.

Garry Wall says that the role out of the 50 year collections includes a combination of digital amplification and rich storytelling from Quiksilver user-generated content from fans and trade assets for key retail partners.

“We have some cool little events planned around the collections. They’re going to feel more like surprise moments for the customer than corporate-scale functions,” said Garry Wall.

According to Quiksilver’s website, with the Warpaint Collection,  “The others could try to copy our style, but they could never copy our vibe”
