ASB MAGAZINE:  Haydenshapes have announced a new collaborative partnership with Surf Technicians LLC. Haydenshapes will continue to solely manage the brand marketing, creative direction as well as product design, research and development. Founder / owner Hayden Cox said Haydenshapes will play a more direct and active role with their global distribution and the team’s leading custom sales (manufactured by Haydenshapes Australia) and stock sales (Manufactured by Cobra). All Haydenshape sales will be handled through one channel and managed by Kye Fitzgerald (Australian territory).

“Our goal is to create a more cohesive and singular-touch-point relationship with our global partners and we anticipate 2019 being our strongest yet,” said Cox.

Commenting further Aroona Managing Director Mitch Ashton said that  Kye Fitzgerald is already the Sales Rep for Haydenshapes models being produced out of  their Mona Vale factory. In addition, Fitzgerald will also be the Sales Rep (in Australia) for Haydenshapes stock models being manufactured by Surftech (out of Cobra) which is distributed by Aroona in Australia and New Zealand.

“Kye will be the one point of contact for Haydenshapes in Australia for both custom and stock models. Existing Aroona NZ Territory Sales Manager, Shaan Miller, will be the Haydenshapes Sales Rep for both customer and stock models in NZ,” said Ashton.

The announcement brings to a close an 8 year worldwide distribution agreement with Global Surf Industries. “It’s with much gratitude and admiration for Mark Kelly and his team for what we achieved together over the past 8 years,” said Cox

Haydenshapes will triple the number of models currently available in 2019  including the release of Haydenshapes performance soft boards and surf accessories that speak to the unique brand DNA of performance, design, technology, aesthetics and art.

“Haydenshapes represents the pinnacle in the blending of design and technology and has sustained this position for years as one of the most popular brands in the world.  The relationship between technology and performance is undeniable. We are both humbled and proud at be partnered with one of the most creatively advanced brands in the market today and can only see more great things to come from Hayden Cox and his crew in the future,” said John Vance, CEO Surf Technicians.

“I am also extremely proud that through all the highs and lows over the last two decades, we’ve managed to wade through the challenges independently and stay 100% shaper owned as a business and brand,” concluded Cox.
