ASB MAGAZINE: Stu Kennedy has spent his career tuning his lightening fast, laser-like approach to surfing on the far north coast of NSW. Stu has a never say die attitude and his approach to riding a wave is reflected by his ‘lay it on the line’ surfing. Raw and uncomplicated, Stu is fast and lethal from small beach breaks to peeling point break’s.

During his career, Stu’s tag list reads like a who’s who’s of competitive surfing. Stu’s run at the WSL 2016 opening event on the Gold Coast had the entire world of surfing lit up with his fresh approach and solidified Stu as one of the worlds best surfers, with or without a jersey on.

Fast forward to the 2019 WSL Pipeline event. Stu Kennedy found himself as the first reserve for the 2020 CT. Stu finished in 12th spot on the QS ratings, agonisingly close to the goal of 11 which would have seen him qualify for the elite world championship tour.

Although the WSL shifted the goal posts in 2020 and COVID 19 reared its ugly head, Stu still has the fire to climb the ranks at WCT level. The Aloha team is excited to see the day when Stu is able to pull the jersey back on and let his surfing do the talking.

“I’m very excited about joining the team at ALOHA. Being a core Australian brand suits me to a tee. Looking forward to the future working with some creative shapers and pushing all the levels.” Stu Kennedy

Welcome to the team Stu and we are stoked to be supporting you with surfboards from our stable of shapers that includes James Wood, Shea Lopez and Marcello Zani.

Aloha!!
