ASB MAGAZINE: House of Vans returns to Australia in Sydney for a free, one-day event, celebrating Vans’ unique culture through the lens of skateboarding, music, art and street culture. But the best bit? House of Vans guests can skate at the custom-built indoor skatepark and mini ramp with skateboarding legend Tony Alva, watch Vans films in the cinema or join workshops running throughout the day. Workshops include skate classes from Rock N Slide Skateboarding, up-cycle skate deck workshops with artist and maker Callum Preston, and griptape design workshops with Jimmy Roche. Workshop spots are limited – online registration is essential.
House of Vans will culminate with evening sets from some of Australia’s finest punk rock bands The Chats, West Thebarton, Pist Idiots and Totty.
House of Vans is an all-ages event. Entry to the licensed band room from 5pm is restricted to 18 plus.
